Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be given 10/10 points during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics coach who would become Comaneci's coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969 placing 13th and she won the competition in 1970. At her first international contest in 1972, she won the event having won three golds. She won four gold and one silver in her first international competition for seniors that took place in 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an adult. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars using backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment show Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating shows.
