Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on August 9 1976 the youngest of four children. Since a young age, her dental doctors parents and teacher mom supported her love of drama and theater. It was this love that trumps her first desire to become a an animal scientist. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift growth in popularity marked her as a young actor. Following her graduation She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her acting career. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was educated Catholic. She has now distanced herself with the Catholic tradition. In addition to acting, she took up modeling and was the model in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival, she showed a collection of photographs under the heading Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on the spotlight and celebrities and turns the camera on those who scrutinized her following her sudden rise to fame in the film Amelie and several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her debut role as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was an international box-office film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around all over the world. Amelie is the highest-grossing French language movie on the market in US. Later, in the same year, she starred in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
