A baby was strapped to my back as one crawled inside the playground. I worked 12 hour days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! The house was getting closer to being done, yet the project was still a way off. It was going to take an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands to furnish this home. In order to stay the cost within my means, I took my boys along with me as I searched for treasures in estate sales. The routine we had for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through garage sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces as well as spending on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. I opted to take a little break from my antique furniture and slow down to be at home with my kids. It was exactly what I needed. It wasn't until a couple of months that my phone began to ring. They asked for my help in interior decoration and home renovations. Most of these people were people who had been through my property during open house for furniture! Once I had a few months I began to take on customers at my pace. Soon I had multiple accounts, as well as a house remodeling business.
