Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has up about how she was raised in a "white bubble" and how that realization has affected how she parents her adopted multiracial children. She revealed in an interview in the past that with regards to skin color the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just how differently society treats people of different races. "I wanted to know Meg how she was that she was treated differently when going out with us parents than those who went out alone. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl addressed Parents about the moment she realised her ignorance. Heigl admitted she became upset and believed it was important to focus the anger she felt on her adopted daughters. Heigl along with her husband of 13 years -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in the year 2012.
